An experimental studio project framing sculptures in two dimensions to contrast overproduction with reflection. Instead of new works, this series is a selection of extant artworks, objects, images and texts rearranged and stacked against one another like gravestones against Thomas Hardy’s ash tree. Each is a testament to a life or to a death, each one ridiculous in its profundity, and each a commemoration of something that came and something that went.
Sculptures compressed into images, images collated into sculpture.
